Oakton College Academic Merit Scholarship

The Academic Merit Scholarship is available to students who enroll at Oakton College immediately following high school graduation from an accredited in-district high school.

The student is required to have a 3.0 GPA and an ACT composite score of 26 or higher or an SAT composite score of 1230 or higher. The student must have completed the following courses in high school with C’s or better: English 1, 2, 3, and 4 or English elective, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, two Social Sciences, and two lab Sciences. Official high school transcript and ACT or SAT score must be submitted to Oakton.

Student will be required to enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours in fall and spring semesters (scholarship not available in summer) and maintain a 3.0 GPA at Oakton.

The scholarship covers in-district tuition and related fees (registration, activity, construction, and lab/course) (does not cover digital access fees) for up to 60 continuous credit hours – or the number of hours required for student’s academic program. Student needs to have continuous enrollment at Oakton. If a student transfers to another college, the scholarship is terminated. Students who “transfer back” or want to use the award only for summer term are not eligible.
